Topics such as traumatic brain injury seems like enough to get our attention but do we really care. Our Brain's are our most important organ, it's not your heart or even your skin. Here are a couple cool facts about this significant organ.

So to think about how important the brain is, if it was damaged wouldn't you think it would be topic of discussion. Our teacher introduced to us in class Ngram Viewer. It is something created by Google to help show you the trending of a specific word. So I decided to look into words that are similar and are appealing to topic.
You can adjust the time range for the trend so I decided to put the range of 1869 through 2015.
This being because Football was invented in 1869, and for my personal research football is an essential aspect.
Using Ngram I decided to use words such as Brain Trauma, Concussion, Chronic traumatic encephalopathy and head injury.
When entering these words I see something interesting occur, there is a inverse relationship between concussions and brain trauma, chronic traumatic encephalopathy and head injuries.
Which could mean multiple things, possibly that closer to the invention of football concussions were discussed. But along with more research closer to the 2000's we discovered that there was more to it.
The fact that with more research we discovered more disorders, and connected them to brain trauma.
Thinking about the evolution of football, from those helmets made of leather and minimum protection I wonder what the issue was and why literature didn't seem to care enough to mention the word brain trauma and others. Here are my theories...
1. There was not enough research discovered about the research having to do with what brain trauma is, or how it can be obtained.
or
2. Men were scared to speak up after there concussions, because of the idea to suck it up.
